Wind slapped her face and ruffled her fur as Fox stepped outside into a small yard. She growled lightly and ran into the cover of a bush. She sat down and smoothed her fur as she started to think.
I should fallow the wind. It will blow any scent of prey there is to me, and it would never suspect it being hunted if it could not scent me in return.
Fox raised her head and looked around. A few clouds littered the sky, but there the smell of rain was absent. If there was going to be a storm, it wouldn't be today.
She climbed up a nearby tree and leapt onto a fence. The wind was slightly stronger up here, but it was safer if any dogs were straying about. She started to run away from the wind, looking for a spot to start hunting. Soon she saw one.
It was the a garage- the den of a monster was left wide open and a weak scent of mouse trailed out. Normally she wouldn't risk going inside of a garage, it could close in on her at any moment, but a few Twolegs moving cardboard boxes and colorful pelts jsut outside told her it would be open for a while. She slid off of the fence and slipped into the garage.
The mouse scent was stronger on the inside. Fox peered at the TwoLegs from the shadows.
Why don't they hunt the mice, she narrowed her eyes, they must smell it too... oh well, more for me.
She turned around and started looking for mice. She found one sheltering under a colored TwoLeg pelt. She crouched down and started stalking it. She had made sure she was comming up behind it's back so it couldn't see her. Before she knew it, it was between her paws. She quickly bit into it's back and sat up. She couldn't eat the mouse inside the garage- it was too dangerous.
Fox stood up, with the mouse in her jaws, and slid back out of the den and into some bushes to eat.
